Our group is focused on evolution and gene expression regulation. We use bioinformatic, computational and experimental approaches to understand how genomes evolve, how gene expression is regulated and how this regulation has evolved. We are particularly interested in the evolution of gene expression regulation that happened to facilitate C4 photosynthesis in plants.
