Jet response to climate forcings
I read physics at Oxford, obtaining a first-class degree as a Master of Physics in 2015. My Master’s project looked at different methods of comparing the eddy-mean flow in the atmosphere, under the supervision of Dr. Tim Woollings.
My area of interest is the North Atlantic Jet Stream: its variability and the effects of climate change on it. My DPhil project focuses on understanding how different SST patterns force the North Atlantic Jet Stream. I hope to be able to discover the impact climate change will have on the jet, and to be able to use attribution techniques to investigate recent jet events.
