Research Interests

Understanding how environmental change impacts the natural world is one of humankind’s greatest challenges. E2D (the Ecological and Evolutionary Dynamics group) use observation, experimentation and computer modeling to investigate how populations and ecosystems are likely to respond to environmental change. The student would join a thriving research group that is conducting exciting work exploring how environmental change impacts ecology, evolution and conservation in theory and in practice. The details of the DPhil project would be agreed through discussion with the student, but would involve the analysis of existing data, the collection of new data and model construction and analysis. Researchers in the group currently work in Yellowstone, Trinidad, Tanzania and Wytham Woods.
