Decarbonising the Economy

Most commodities required for a modern economy are composed in part at least of carbon.  What has to change is the source.  Alternative sources of carbon need to be developed such as plant biomass and bio-electrochemical that capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere where it is present in excess.  Also recycling carbon products is going to be an increasingly important requirement.
