Water Mass Transformation in the Arctic Ocean
I am seeking to understand how ocean circulation processes will be altered in a warming Arctic with less sea ice, and the impacts of these changes on local and global climate. Specifically, I use ocean model hindcasts to investigate the pathways of Atlantic Water flowing in and out of the Arctic Ocean, and explore the mechanisms driving transformation in water density.
