Academic Profile

My DPhil research aims to explore rapid evolution in common UK insects species in response to human-driven environmental change across the past half-century. I am interested in leveraging historical insect collections with next generation sequencing to identify recent genetic and demographic shifts in insect populations, and assess their potential evolutionary resilience in the face of ecological, chemical and climatic pressures.

Before my DPhil, I did a BSc in Biological Sciences at Imperial College London. I was then awarded a Leverhulme Scholarship to conduct an MSc in Ecology, Evolution and Systematics at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, where I explored ecologically-associated divergence in Heliconius butterflies.
