Zoe Olivia Brown

Academic Profile

I completed my BSc in Biology with Honours at Acadia University in 2017. After graduating, I returned to the Bahamas, where I worked on several research projects related to socio-ecological resilience, marine conservation, and climate change in the context of SIDS at the Cape Eleuthera Institute. I have also worked as a tutor, teaching assistant, and research assistant throughout my academic career.

I came to Oxford in 2022 to complete an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management. My MSc research focused on understanding yield-biodiversity trade-offs in cocoa agroforestry systems of Nigeria.

I am now working with the Nature Based Solutions Initiative for my DPhil Research, as well for Nature Based Insights, a social venture spin-out from NBSI, as an assistant researcher.
