The reliable availability of good quality water for all populations is an increasing concern with climate change and deteriorating habitats. Freshwater is limited (<1% of global water) and water use is expected to increase by 50% by 2025. More sustainable approaches for remediating, managing water are urgently required including more on-site decentralised water treatment systems.
